Episode 39 : We speak with Hair Designer Chris Clark, Chris tells us about his start in the wonderful world of theatre, how he moved from being on stage to backstage and then ended up in the TV and film world, we chat about the mentors Chris had on his career journey and how he, is now mentoring others…

CHRIS CLARK
Chris Clark is an Austin, Texas based hairstylist. Chris began his career in the dark basements of regional theaters where he began to develop a deep love of hair, wigs, and his theatrical tribe.
Chris is a three time Emmy Award winning Hair Department Head. He was honored for his work on The Assassination of Gianni Versace : American Crime Story, Feud : Bette and Joan, as well as The People v. O.J. Simpson : American Crime Story. Chris was also honored with the Makeup Artist and Hairstylist Guild Award for both Feud, and The People v. O.J. Simpson
Past credits include The Prom, The Boys in the Band, Ratched, Pose (Emmy nomination), The Politician (Emmy nomination), The Normal Heart (Emmy nomination), Pan Am, Rent, The Oranges, The Wolf of Wall Street, Margin Call, andScream Queensamong others. Chris got his start working on the Broadway productions of Wicked and The Lion King as well as three years in the hair department of Saturday Night Live.
Prior to his work on Broadway, Clark worked in regional theater as a Hair and Makeup designer for Actor’s Theater of Phoenix, Music Theater Wichita, and many black box theaters in New York City.
