DEAN BANOWETZ
Dean Banowetz, the Hollywood Hair Guy. The locks wizard behind celebrity staples like Leeza Gibbons, Simon Cowell, Ryan Seacrest, Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Clarkson, Tony Robbins and Shark Tank’s Lori Greiner. A self-proclaimed Jamie Oliver of hairstyling who throws awe-inducing house parties. That’s Dean!
After owning and operating a full-service salon in Bettendorf, Iowa, Dean made the big move to sunny and sparkly Los Angeles, where he landed a gig on the nationally syndicated series Extra. Dean attended the On Set Motion Picture Hair Academy in Santa Monica to specialize in Hollywood hair tricks of the trade and refined his practice big-time.
In the summer of 2002, Dean took a job on the little-known American Idol Search for a Superstar on FOX, where he was mainly responsible for styling the golden mane of Mr. Ryan Seacrest, as well as all of the contestants. Since then, Dean has worked on many projects in Hollywood, including: To Tell The Truth (ABC) So You Think You Can Dance (FOX) Dancing With The Stars (ABC) American Idol (FOX, 7 seasons) America’s Got Talent (NBC) I Can Do That(NBC) and Grease Live! TONIA GREEN
Tonia Green was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley. She went to an all girls private High School and then attended San Diego State University. While attending college, she started working at a makeup counter called Prescriptives where she learned how to do makeup on all different walks of life. After graduating college with a Bachelors degree in Communication focusing on Public Relations, Tonia became a media buyer for an ad agency. She placed both radio and television commercial time and helped produce the commercials where she used her makeup skills on the talent.
While living in San Diego a friend introduced Tonia to the lead makeup artist on some reality television shows and she was offered the opportunity to work in television if she were to ever move back to LA. She moved home and started her television journey.
She is an Emmy Nominated and 5 time nominee for the Local 706 Makeup and Hairstylist Guild Awards. Tonia is currently the Makeup Department Head on some of the biggest shows on television including American Idol, America’s Got Talent, So You Think You Can Dance, World of Dance and Flirty Dancing to name a few.
