Episode 2: We speak with Makeup Artist Morag Ross & Hairstylist Kerry Warn, The personal Makeup & Hair team to Cate Blanchett, on the show Mrs America. Mrs. America is an American drama television miniseries created by Dahvi Waller about the political movement to pass the Equal Rights Amendment. It stars Cate Blanchett.

Through the eyes of the women of the era — both Schlafly and second-wave feminists Gloria Steinem, Betty Friedan, Shirley Chisholm, Bella Abzug and Jill Ruckelshaus — the series explores how one of the toughest battlegrounds in the culture wars of the 1970s helped give rise to the Moral Majority and forever shifted the political landscape.
MORAG ROSS
Morag was born and grew up in Glasgow, Scotland , where she went on to study and gain a degree in Art and Design from the Glasgow School of Art. She first became interested in makeup artistry when she was an art student -it was the post punk New Romantic era where ‘art makeups ‘ and Avantgarde dressing were both explored .She secured a place to train in makeup and hair at BBC London , where she stayed for several years before going freelance in the mid 80s. Since starting out working on small independent feature films and art house movies , she has continued to work in the film industry on blockbuster Hollywood projects as well as video art installations and editorial /red carpet makeup work .
With almost 40 years in the industry , she has received several awards and nominations including winning 2 BAFTAS and a 3rd Scottish BAFTA for technical achievement in her field .
She still lives in the UK and continues to work all over the world .

KERRY WARN
Kerry works extensively in the US and UK, collaborating with magazines such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Mademoiselle, Elle, Interview, Rolling Stone, Glamour, Vanity Fair, etc. and The CR Fashion Book, working with the very top strata of models and photographers.
Discovered by legendary film director Stanley Kubrick, Kerry Warn started his foray into film with EYES WIDE SHUT. Without precedent, he has successfully managed to combine his print career with outstanding work in the world of Film ever since. Kerry was the Chief Hair Designer on Baz Luhrmann’s THE GREAT GATSBY and AUSTRALIA.
