JODI MANCUSO
Second generation hairdresser and 6 time Emmy winner Jodi Mancuso is a hair and wig designer, best known as the Hair Department Head on Saturday Night Live.
Not only does she oversee the styling of as many as 80 wigs or more in each show, she collaborates with the writers, actors, costume designers, makeup department, and producer Lorne Michaels.
She’s been the hair designer on other Lorne Michaels’s productions including Portlandia, The Other Two, Maya & Marty, and others. She began her career as a teenager in New York City working on Broadway musicals as in like Titanic , Showboat, and has since worked coast to coast, across America, and internationally in film, television, and theater.
Jodi Mancuso is lovingly parodied in the SNL sketch “Bronx Beat” made famous by Amy Poehler and Maya Rudolph.
